Chin up, coaches! Self care rules. And I talk about sex and SAD lights in this video. Xo
Hey, Coachy-Coachy Loves.
It’s snowing today. March 1st. Like 4 inches of snow.
Given that we just had like 50 degree weather in Wisconsin this is a little bit, what we call, disheartening. So, I wanted to share with you some of the things that I do to help me get through the fact that it’s still fucking snowing.
As coaches, this is especially important because we spend a lot of time giving to other people and in order to give, we have to make sure we’re fill.
One of the things that I find really helpful, which probably goes against all kinds of nutrition rules, is my morning latte which I make myself in my little latte maker I’ve had since I got married 80 million years ago.
Number two, I am also a big proponent of the Seasonal Affective Disorder, or S.A.D., light. I sit in front of this bad body while I check email in the morning and it’s really, really helpful. Vitamin D is big, especially if you, like me, live in a climate where it’s dark a lot.
I also surround myself with color, as you can see behind me, too, my chakra lamp, and all kinds of color over here. Color is big.
I try to drink lots of water. That helps.
I’ve been really working hard lately to get exercise in, which I know makes some people roll their eyes like, “Really? You’re going to say that?”
But, yeah. I’m going to say that because even a half an hour a day walk on the treadmill or just stretching, everything just goes better. It’s kind of like having sex. If you just do it once a week, everything goes better. If you just exercise every day, everything goes better.
All right. That’s what I have, real life tips from a real life coach. What are some of your tips?
Take care of yourselves out there. Thanks!
