One of the things I find most fascinating about the Everything DiSC model is that it works like a decoder for understanding one’s workplace priorities. Each DiSC style has a different set of priorities. Once you know what each style’s priorities are, the picture regarding why people do what they do at work becomes a lot…clearer. Communication becomes a lot easier. And relationships become a lot stronger.
Here’s a quick overview of the four styles and their priorities in they workplace, per the Everything DiSC model.
The Priorities of the D Style
Those who lead with a D style are often described as driving, ambitious, results-oriented people. They prioritize challenge, action, and results in the workplace.
The Priorities of the i Style
Those who lead with an i style are often described as influential, gregarious, highly social people. They prioritize action, enthusiasm, and collaboration in the workplace.
The Priorities of the S Style
Those who lead with an S Style are often described as steady, calm, process-oriented people. They prioritize collaboration, support, and stability in the workplace.
The Priorities of the C Style
Those who lead with the C style are compliant, analytical, exacting people. They prioritize stability, accuracy, and challenge in the workplace.
Now that you understand the priorities of each style, do you better understand why your coworker does what she does, says what she says, and acts how she acts? The decoder works! If you’d like more information about DiSC and how it can help you and your team, visit www.charitigent.com/disc.
