(Please read Part 1 and Part 2 of this series to further explain this somewhat odd-sounding maneuver)
For the previous two weeks, we have examined the stress of the season and the overwhelm it can cause. I have suggested two different practices for you to try, both effective in detouring the despair than can overcome you. I think you’re going to love this third and final exercise.
OPTION 3 (and this sounds a bit silly but I tell you it works wonders!)
Jump up and down 10 times yelling CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES at the top of your lungs. 10 times. Do it LOUDLY, as loud as you can. If you have pets, they will think you’re nuts and likely begin running the other way! This is a wonderful release. Watch and observe what happens for you physically, mentally, and emotionally after you’ve done it.
(Okay, I’m sure this evoked some giggles…and a craving for chocolate chip cookies!)
Stress be gone! Overwhelm be cast away! There is now space, once again, for lightness and love.
