On Tuesday morning about 5AM, I took my first ambulance ride. Here's the set-up. Sunday night: arrive home from a 12 day trip to Alaska. Was amazing. Last Friday, Sara Alvarado and I hosted Soul Play for a Day: A Spiritual + Creative Retreat for Women. What a rousing success! Thirteen women gathered for a day of SOUL PLAY. We were lead in our opening ceremony by Shaman Julie Hogan of the Spiritual Sanctuary, we discussed the meaning and roots of spirituality for each of us, we meditated, we ate a mindful + silent lunch, we walked in nature, we danced together, and we learned to intuitively paint. Recently, I spent 5 days on my grandparent's old farmstead in west central IL. My aunt owns the property now, and she's done amazing things to renovate the house so that all of us can still gather there as extended family. It's really quite magical.
